Come for a fun and empowering Self-Advocacy Lunch Party! This inclusive event welcomes self-advocates—individuals who receive (or are eligible for) Oregon Developmental Disabilities services—and anyone who wants to connect, build community, and create positive change. Enjoy an afternoon of activities including tie-dye, a mini yoga session, and opportunities to connect with local groups like Creative Connections, Social Hour, Jewelry Junction, Tech & Gaming, NeuroConnect, and more. All ages are welcome, and the event is designed to be engaging, supportive, and accessible. Come meet new people, explore resources, and celebrate self-advocacy together. OSAC Monthly Advocate Meetings Join OSAC for Advocate Meetings held on the first Friday of every month from 2:00–4:00 PM. Each month alternates between two focus areas—giving participants consistent opportunities to both connect and build knowledge: Connection & Education (July 3, September 4): Strengthen your advocacy skills while connecting with and learning from advocates across the state. Policy & Legislative (August 7): Stay informed on policy and legislation, ask questions, and deepen your understanding of systems impacting your work.

This gathering is a great opportunity to connect, learn, and share your voice in your community. Join Oregon COAAST Network’s Self-Advocacy Group, a welcoming monthly meet-up for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Held every third Tuesday from 1:30–2:30 PM, this group offers a supportive space to connect, share experiences, and build self-advocacy skills. Parents are encouraged to attend with youth ages 13 and under. Registration is required, and Spanish-language services are available.
Join SPARC (Self Protection, Advocacy and Rights Council) for an evening of community, connection, and advocacy on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the PCL Administrative Office (Columbia Room) in Monmouth. The event kicks off with a BBQ favorites potluck from 5:30–6:30 PM, followed by the SPARC meeting from 6:30–7:30 PM. Bring a dish to share and enjoy good food while connecting with others who are passionate about self-advocacy and community inclusion. Join People First of Corvallis, a welcoming and inclusive self-advocacy group for individuals in the intellectual and developmental disabilities community. This monthly meeting provides a safe space to connect, share experiences, build skills, and advocate for positive change together. Meetings are held on the fourth Friday of each month from 5:00–6:00 PM at the Corvallis Community Center (Oak Room), 2601 NW Tyler Ave. The space is ADA accessible, and snacks and drinks are provided. Seen. Heard. Believed. – Spellers & Typers Advocacy Summit Join the Autism Mustang Alliance for a powerful day of connection, empowerment, and advocacy at the Spellers & Typers Advocacy Summit. This event centers the voices of nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking autistic individuals, providing a space to advocate for the right to be understood, supported, and fully included. Curated and directed by a nonspeaking autistic advocate and writer, the summit offers opportunities to learn, connect, and uplift self-advocacy in a supportive and inclusive environment.
