  • Marion County Fair (Salem)

    Celebrate summer at the Marion County Fair, returning to the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem from July 9–12, 2026. This beloved annual event brings the community together for four days of fun with live entertainment, carnival rides, 4-H and FFA exhibits, contests, vendors, and classic fair food favorites. From animal exhibits and hands-on activities to main stage performances and family-friendly attractions, there’s something for all ages to enjoy. Special themed days, live music, and nonstop activities make it a perfect outing for families, friends, and community members alike. Fair hours vary by day, with festivities running Thursday noon–10 PM, Friday and Saturday 10 AM–11 PM, and Sunday 10 AM–6 PM. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate the “Made in Marion” spirit and experience one of the region’s favorite summer traditions. Please note that there is an admission cost (about $6, plus parking), but you may be able to find a deal or special!

  • Programs for Accessible Learning (Salem)

    Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers are invited to come learn, create, and find community! Programs for Accessible Learning (PAL) lasts one hour and usually follows this schedule: Sensory-friendly storytime with puppets, songs, and bubbles (15 minutes) July's themed group activity: Learn about Disability Pride Month, participate in a guided chair dance party, and celebrate with some cake or sugar-free treats! (20-30 minutes) Creativity stations (adult coloring pages, Lego building) (15-20 Minutes) All materials provided. Registration is required. Please register each participant. Participants are asked to attend with a caregiver. An American Sign Language interpreter will be present whenever possible. Free. This program is supported by the Salem Public Library Foundation and the Friends of the Salem Public Library. This event will be presented in English. Request further language interpretation at 503-588-6315 or library@cityofsalem.net at least 2 business days in advance.

    Join the Salem Disability Rights Alliance for their first community meeting! Guided by the mantra “Nothing about us without us,” this gathering is an opportunity for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their supporters (ages 16+) to connect, share ideas, and help shape advocacy efforts in Salem. Designed for neurodivergent individuals and the I/DD community, this welcoming event features delicious food truck options, games, raffles, and opportunities to make new friends in an inclusive environment. General admission is free, with games and raffle tickets available for purchase on-site.

  • Inclusive Leadership Summit (Salem/Virtual)

    OSAC’s annual Inclusive Leadership Summit brings together self-advocates, family members, professionals and state leaders. Join us for an afternoon of insightful presentations, engaging discussions, and networking opportunities focused on topics important to Oregonians with I/DD. Breakfast and lunch are included in your ticket if attending in person (limited number of tickets available). There are also tickets available for attending the conference online as well.
