Join People First of Corvallis, a welcoming and inclusive self-advocacy group for individuals in the intellectual and developmental disabilities community. This monthly meeting provides a safe space to connect, share experiences, build skills, and advocate for positive change together. Meetings are held on the fourth Friday of each month from 5:00–6:00 PM at the Corvallis Community Center (Oak Room), 2601 NW Tyler Ave. The space is ADA accessible, and snacks and drinks are provided. The next meeting is Friday, May 22. Come learn, connect, and make your voice heard!

Come for a fun and empowering Self-Advocacy Lunch Party! This inclusive event welcomes self-advocates—individuals who receive (or are eligible for) Oregon Developmental Disabilities services—and anyone who wants to connect, build community, and create positive change. Enjoy an afternoon of activities including tie-dye, a mini yoga session, and opportunities to connect with local groups like Creative Connections, Social Hour, Jewelry Junction, Tech & Gaming, NeuroConnect, and more. All ages are welcome, and the event is designed to be engaging, supportive, and accessible. Come meet new people, explore resources, and celebrate self-advocacy together. Seen. Heard. Believed. – Spellers & Typers Advocacy Summit Join the Autism Mustang Alliance for a powerful day of connection, empowerment, and advocacy at the Spellers & Typers Advocacy Summit. This event centers the voices of nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking autistic individuals, providing a space to advocate for the right to be understood, supported, and fully included. Curated and directed by a nonspeaking autistic advocate and writer, the summit offers opportunities to learn, connect, and uplift self-advocacy in a supportive and inclusive environment.
