    Join Club-21 for a Movie to see Toy Story 5! Club‑21 is a welcoming social group for young adults ages 18–35 with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Members come together each month to choose fun activities, build friendships, and grow confidence, independence, and a true sense of belonging. Participants bring money for the movie and their own food and refreshments (if desired) and, at the end of every event, they vote on what to do at the next gathering.

    Rev up the fun at Advocate Access NW's Community RC Club! Join Adam and Kris for an engaging, hands-on gathering featuring remote control car activities, friendly competition, and prizes. This event takes place on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 11 AM–12 PM at McCormick Park (covered area). Enjoy a light lunch, connect with others, and experience the excitement—everyone is welcome!

    Celebrate community, connection, and summer fun at the 4th Annual Picnic in honor of America’s 250th birthday! Join Tillamook Family Counseling Center on June 25 from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM at Phyllis Baker City Park in Rockaway Beach for a festive afternoon featuring karaoke, basketball, face painting, raffle prizes, a photo booth, and more. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided—just bring your chairs and blankets and come enjoy the celebration!

In partnership with Seven Capes Bird Alliance and Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, this guided walk offers a chance to learn about local seabirds and enjoy the coastal environment.   • Self-Advocacy Lunch Party (Warren)

    Come for a fun and empowering Self-Advocacy Lunch Party! This inclusive event welcomes self-advocates—individuals who receive (or are eligible for) Oregon Developmental Disabilities services—and anyone who wants to connect, build community, and create positive change. Enjoy an afternoon of activities including tie-dye, a mini yoga session, and opportunities to connect with local groups like Creative Connections, Social Hour, Jewelry Junction, Tech & Gaming, NeuroConnect, and more. All ages are welcome, and the event is designed to be engaging, supportive, and accessible. Come meet new people, explore resources, and celebrate self-advocacy together.     Join for a fun-filled LEGO Thrill Build on Sunday, June 28 from 12–3 PM at Beyond the Forest (230 S 1st St, St. Helens). Build at your own pace, try optional themed challenges, and enjoy some friendly competitions! This family-friendly event is hosted by Advocate Access NW—children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

    OSAC Monthly Advocate Meetings Join OSAC for Advocate Meetings held on the first Friday of every month from 2:00–4:00 PM. Each month alternates between two focus areas—giving participants consistent opportunities to both connect and build knowledge: Connection & Education (July 3, September 4): Strengthen your advocacy skills while connecting with and learning from advocates across the state. Policy & Legislative (August 7): Stay informed on policy and legislation, ask questions, and deepen your understanding of systems impacting your work.

    Join Lincoln County SPARC (Self Protection, Advocacy and Rights Council) for a welcoming and informative self-advocacy meeting. This gathering is a great opportunity to connect, learn, and share your voice in your community.   • Programs for Accessible Learning (Salem)

    Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers are invited to come learn, create, and find community! Programs for Accessible Learning (PAL) lasts one hour and usually follows this schedule: Sensory-friendly storytime with puppets, songs, and bubbles (15 minutes) July's themed group activity: Learn about Disability Pride Month, participate in a guided chair dance party, and celebrate with some cake or sugar-free treats! (20-30 minutes) Creativity stations (adult coloring pages, Lego building) (15-20 Minutes) All materials provided. Registration is required. Please register each participant. Participants are asked to attend with a caregiver. An American Sign Language interpreter will be present whenever possible. Free. This program is supported by the Salem Public Library Foundation and the Friends of the Salem Public Library. This event will be presented in English. Request further language interpretation at 503-588-6315 or library@cityofsalem.net at least 2 business days in advance.
