    Join NW Access Fund for their monthly "Financial How-To’s for People with Disabilities". Learn how to budget, save, build credit, and protect yourself from fraud—all while keeping your benefits safe. This class, How to Apply for SSI/SSDI Benefits for Adults, will be held June 17th at 12pm via Zoom. Click here to register. Learn about the difference between SSI and SSDI and get a clear overview of how to apply for these benefits. Leave with tips and strategies to help you throughout the application process. All classes are virtual and held in a supportive, inclusive environment. ASL interpretation available on request! Bring your questions! Each class is generally held every 2-3 weeks and led by a financial coach. These classes provide financial education designed to meet the unique needs of people with disabilities. Get tips and strategies on a variety of financial topics and leave with a clear idea of the next steps to take to help you reach your goals.

    The 2025 Oregon Legislative Session is January 21 through June 29. ODHS (Oregon Department of Human Services) will host regular meetings to update the I/DD community. Dates: January 22, February 12, February 26, March 12, March 26, April 9, April 23, May 14, May 28, June 11 and June 25 Time: Noon to 1 p.m. To attend: Register in advance using this link. After you register, Zoom will send you a confirmation email. It will have directions to join the meetings. ODHS wants everyone to feel welcome and safe. They will provide free support for you to participate. This includes American Sign Language, Spanish interpreter and live captioning.     This year the World Beat Festival is celebrating Turtle Island; the indigenous peoples of North and South America! Come to Riverfront Park where you can experience the music, dance, food and traditions of over 60 nations and cultures.     Community Day in the Park (formerly Citizens Day) is an annual summer event hosted by the City of St. Helens in McCormick Park. Community Day is a day focused on making and strengthening community connections. It’s an opportunity for people to put down their cell phones, turn off the television, and enjoy a day of fun in a local park with friends and family. Activities are family-friendly, free, and designed for a wide age-range. Yearly activities include a free barbeque lunch, live music, lawn games, vendors, and more.
