    Columbia County SPARC is hosting "Profile Power", an event to support creating your own one-page profile and goals. This focused session helps individuals with IDD develop essential planning tools: a One-page profile summarizing who you are and what's important to you, and a Goal Sheet outlining your dreams. The Profile Power event is not just about creating documents; it is about building a foundation for effective communication and personal growth. Participants will be guided through each step of the process, with support from trained facilitators who understand the unique challenges faced by individuals with IDD. The collaborative environment encourages sharing and learning from one another, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.     The Oregon Deaf and Hard of Hearing Advisory Committee (ODHHS) serve and act as a voice for the various Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities in Oregon. They provide feedback to ODHS. The Committee wants to hear more about the community’s needs — and how they can better support you and invite you to their Virtual Town Hall.     SPARC is a self-advocacy group, with a branch in Monmouth. Everyone is welcome to join! This group meets monthly to hold a potluck and meeting. Each meeting has a different topic, this month will be around gardening! Potluck: 5:30pm - 6:30pm Meeting: 6:30pm - 7:30pm You can join in person or virtually.   • The ARC Self-Advocate Convention (Salem)

    The ARC's second annual Self-Advocate Convention of Oregon is happening in Salem, OR June 11th-June 13th. This event is planned by advocates for advocates and their supporters. The schedule will include guest speakers, small group conversations, and networking time. Plus, they’ll have fun social activities like a karaoke party and group meals.
