    This year the World Beat Festival is celebrating Turtle Island; the indigenous peoples of North and South America! Come to Riverfront Park where you can experience the music, dance, food and traditions of over 60 nations and cultures. Things kick off with a Children’s Parade at 9:45 am on Saturday and will continue until Sunday evening. Check out the website here for more information.     An annual health and safety fair, Riverfront Family Fest is free to attend and features 65 vendors and family-friendly activities focused on increasing the quality of life for children and parents in our community. Held at Salem's Riverfront Park the first Saturday of each August, Riverfront Family Fest is one of the largest child-friendly community events in Salem with nearly 4,000 parents and children each year. This health and safety resource fair is free to attend. With a range of family-friendly activities, Riverfront Park comes to life, providing a safe and fun place for families to spend time with each other and to build new relationships with other community members.
