Step into a magical evening where fairy tales come to life at Essential Services’ 4th Annual Prom! This event is completely free and open to everyone in the I/DD community. Whether you arrive dressed as royalty, your favorite fairy tale character, or simply your favorite outfit, everyone is welcome to celebrate! Come dance the night away, vote for your 2026 Royal Court, and make new friends. Finger foods and beverages will be served. Please RSVP using the website link provided.
Join the Autism Society of Oregon for a sensory friendly private encore screening of Spiderman: Brand New Day. This is a smaller capacity theatre to allow for less over stimulation. This is a friendly inclusive space accessible to all. There are a limited number of wheelchair seats available. Headphones and fidgets will be available, there will be bean bags for crash pads, weighted plushies to snuggle if needed, sounds will be lower, and there will be a little lighting to make it a more welcoming space. Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers are invited to come learn, create, and find community! PAL lasts one hour and usually follows this schedule: Sensory-friendly storytime with puppets, songs, and bubbles (15 minutes) September's themed group activity: Pick a karaoke song, perform and sing along together! (20-30 minutes) Creativity stations (adult coloring pages, Lego building) (15-20 Minutes) All materials provided. Registration is required. Please register each participant. Participants are asked to attend with a caregiver. An American Sign Language interpreter will be present whenever possible. Free. This program is supported by the Salem Public Library Foundation and the Friends of the Salem Public Library. This event will be presented in English. Join Essential Services for a day of fun in the sand as we say farewell to summer. This event is open to everyone in the I/DD community and is free to attend. Please RSVP. Unfortunately, the beach with the Moby Mat is under construction, so the sand is not wheelchair accessible. The picnic area is accessible, and the bathrooms are as well.

ISN will be at Wortman Stadium at McMinnville High School for Grizzfest, their annual Exploration Fair, sharing resources and information about developmental disability services. Students, parents, and community members are invited to explore resources and opportunities. Join us!
