Join a free, two-hour session of expert-driven discussion and practical steps you can take to stay safe before, during, and after a disaster! Lincoln City and Lincoln County Emergency Management has partnered with The Oregon Dept of Emergency Management (OEM), Oregon Dept of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI) and the National Weather Service (NWS) to provide a comprehensive overview of earthquakes and tsunamis. This session will feature expert-led presentations on the science behind earthquakes and tsunamis, how alerts are triggered and broadcasted, and what you can do now to be better prepared when a disaster strikes. There will be time for questions and open discussion after the presentationsโso bring your curiosity and take advantage of this opportunity to learn from the experts and connect with the people working to keep Oregon safe. Join Living Studios (Cornerstone Associates) at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art for a free All Abilities Art Making Workshop every 2nd Thursday of the month from 12 pm to 3 pm. The museum will be open and free for workshop participants. June's workshop, inspired by artwork in the Carl Hall Gallery, encourages participants to connect to other artists within the community by emulating their styles. Community Day in the Park (formerly Citizens Day) is an annual summer event hosted by the City of St. Helens in McCormick Park. Community Day is a day focused on making and strengthening community connections.
