The panel of self-advocates will discuss their experiences growing up with a disability. Other discussion topics will include parenting teens, analyzing a pre-adulting checklist, the importance of nurturing your childโs advocacy skills at any age, and strategies to help you through lifeโs โups and downsโ. Creating Opportunities is putting together an online training, โEmergency Preparedness at Homeโ. This course features an unscripted (and funny) video of local youth sharing ideas on how to help your family plan for an emergency.
