When Kyle was in kindergarten, his extraordinary talent for drawing was discovered by those close to him. Later in his life, at around 12 years of age, he started using paper to sculpt figurines to play with. Kyle could look at something one-dimensional, make a pattern out of paper and construct it into a three-dimensional paper toy.

As Kyle got older, he began using his creativity in a new way through writing stories and making graphic novels. His favorite stories and graphic novels to make are about underwater worlds, Greek mythology and monsters. Kyle has completed one book, which is a Christmas story. He hopes to someday have his stories published, but for now he is happy adding sequences on to his current project.

“I’m thankful for my brain and the limitless possibilities for neat stories with exquisite and unique characters and monsters,” says Kyle.

In addition to his art and storytelling, Kyle also works a full-time job at Lowe’s. “I’m proud of my job at Lowe’s,” Kyle says. “I operate a ‘runner’ and am on the receiving team. I move pallets of freight to different areas. I love my job.”

Kyle’s hopes and dreams include retiring from Lowe’s and buying an RV. “I’ve been planning for the last couple of years to buy an RV so I can take my family and friends on road trips and camping trips.”

He is also proud of his work ethic, artistic talents and having his art displayed at the Corvallis Museum – a huge accomplishment for Kyle!
