Find a Provider

Types of Providers:

PSW – A Personal Support Worker (PSW) is hired directly by the individual or their designated employer. The Personal Agent, with help from the individual and ISP team, will create a service agreement that outlines the job description for the PSW. The supports outlined in the service agreement are directly related to what the individual needs and wants. PSWs are required to take trainings, through Carewell, prior to becoming a PSW and their rate of pay is determined by collective bargaining through the SEIU union and the state.  Use the link to Carina below to search for PSWs.

DSP through a Provider Agency – A Direct Support Professional (DSP) is hired by a provider agency. Provider agencies are private organizations licensed by the state of Oregon to offer care and support to people who qualify. The individual or their legal representative hire the provider agency. They work together to choose a DSP that meets the needs and wants of the individual. The Personal Agent, with help from the individual and ISP team, will create a service agreement that outlines the role of the provider agency and their DSPs. The rate of pay for the DSP is determined by the provider agency and can differ between different agencies. Contact your Personal Agent for more information on available DSPs in your area.
