Stephanie is a dedicated member of the ISN community, whose passion for advocacy and helping others shines in everything she does. As a proud member of the ISN Policy Oversight Group (POG), Stephanie not only contributes her voice to shaping the organization but also played a major role in planning this year’s annual ISN POG Conference. She attended every planning meeting, took the lead on planning the craft, and was hands-on during setup and cleanup.
“I like helping people and doing things. It pleases me,” Stephanie shared. “I’m basically helping people when they need to be.”
Beyond her work with POG, Stephanie is actively involved in several advocacy and community organizations. Stephanie is involved at Griffins Place – helping arrange activities, is on the CCMH Council – helping spread information, and is a member of the local SPARC self-advocacy group. When asked why she cares about self-advocacy she said, “It’s great, I can use my own voice to ask the questions.”
In her free time, Stephanie enjoys hobbies like making beautiful, beaded jewelry. One of her handmade necklaces is proudly displayed in ISN PA Pepsi’s office at the St. Helen’s location.

She also has a love for the outdoors. “I love camping. Love to be out in the wilderness amongst the trees and animals. Sleep amongst the stars… Sit there, read, do my coloring, basically enjoy it.” She’s already coordinating with her provider to make this summer’s camping plans a reality.
Looking ahead, Stephanie hopes to go to college and eventually open her own store. It’s clear that whatever goals she sets her mind to, she brings the same dedication and heart that she brings to everything else in her life.
“I’m grateful,” she says simply. “I’m grateful to have you guys in my life. The help I get from you, Pepsi — just grateful for what I have.”
Stephanie’s story is a wonderful reminder of the impact of support, community, and the importance of using your voice.
