This session will feature expert-led presentations on the science behind earthquakes and tsunamis\, how alerts are triggered and broadcasted\, and what you can do now to be better prepared when a disaster strikes.\nThere will be time for questions and open discussion after the presentations—so bring your curiosity and take advantage of this opportunity to learn from the experts and connect with the people working to keep Oregon safe.\n\nThere will be two sessions on this day:\nDriftwood Library Community Room\, Lincoln City –  11am – 1pm\nOregon Coast Community College Community Room\, Newport\, 6pm – 8pm
